ITCHING FOR A WAY TO INCREASE SALES

When pharmaceutical giant Schering-Plough Animal Health sought to expand their presence in the warehouse club stores across the country, they looked to LePoidevin Marketing for assistance.

Faced with increased competition from strong national brands, Schering-Plough Animal Health decided to up the ante at both Sam’s Club and COSTCO with their canine flea & tick treatment, Defend® EXspot®.

Working closely with the senior product manager and their representatives from their manufacturing plant, we created a unique “customer friendly” package that featured the product more effectively, while significantly cutting packaging costs. We also designed and engineered a pallet display to showcase the new package in an effort to increase sell-through. Our design allowed the retailer to use and locate the pallet within an in-aisle rack, or as an end-cap display.

The result? The new display helped them realize an increase in sales, while reducing product packaging and display costs. Their product sold in more stores across the nation, and sold through at a higher rate than ever before.
