GETTING WIRED IN AT WAL-MART

When Coleman Cable needed help getting their line of extension and appliance replacement cords onto the shelves of the nation’s largest retailer they looked to LePoidevin Marketing.

Coleman Cable, an international manufacturer and supplier of cables and cords to the industrial and contractor markets, wanted fresh thinking on how to promote their products into Wal-Mart.

Working together, we reviewed their entire offering — packaging, displays and merchandising tools — and then recommended they take a different approach to their retail program.

We created a new look for each package and display bin, and designed signage that quickly educated consumers on how to select the right cord for the right job. We also engineered a blade sign to guide Wal-Mart customers through the section.

The result? Coleman Cable credits us with assisting them in securing an 8’ section in Wal-Mart stores, effectively displacing their competition while making a strong entry into the retail market.
